About

AIpediya is an independent research catalog for people choosing AI models and tools. It brings product facts, prices, access options and evidence-based analysis into one place, so developers, researchers, creators and teams can build a shortlist and understand the trade-offs.

Why AIpediya exists

AI products change quickly. A model name can cover several versions, a subscription is not the same as API access, and a benchmark score says little without its test conditions. AIpediya organizes these distinctions into a consistent reference. The aim is to help you ask better questions before trying or buying a product.

Two catalogs, one research workflow

Models cover text and code, images, video, audio and other specialized tasks. Tools include applications, coding assistants and agents, development environments, API services, platforms and local runtimes. Records distinguish the product, developer and version, with release evidence, documented origins, capabilities, access and pricing where established. Stable product URLs let you return to the same record as its information changes.

From a question to a shortlist

Search by product, developer or task, then filter and sort the results. For a coding project, compare documented coding uses and API access. For long documents, compare confirmed context windows and input/output prices in their stated units. For local execution, inspect open weights, the license and compatible runtimes; downloadable weights do not make hardware or electricity free. Collections provide starting points with explicit inclusion rules, not a promise that every listed product fits your task.

What AIpediya Rating adds

AIpediya Rating combines model quality, comparable cost and relevant resources within a model's context. Its balanced, quality-first and economy profiles make different priorities explicit. The score is our own calculation, not a developer's endorsement or a universal verdict. Confidence states and an asterisk identify incomplete or estimated evidence. Estimates used in a calculation do not turn missing catalog facts into confirmed facts.

Independent benchmark runs, developer-reported results and composite indexes are distinguished. Evidence is matched to the exact model version and evaluation configuration, and publication permissions are considered. AIpediya does not claim to have personally tested every listed product. The methodology explains the formulas, evidence rules and limitations; each model's rating details expose its calculation basis.

Where the information comes from

Research starts with official announcements, documentation, model cards, repositories, research papers and pricing pages. Independent measurements and reliable secondary sources add context where appropriate. AIpediya's contribution is selecting and reconciling this evidence, separating product versions and access conditions, organizing comparable fields and applying a documented analytical method. Source links and check dates help you inspect the basis for a record.

How research and updates work

AIpediya is an owner-led project supported by AI agents and automated checks. Agents assist with research, source comparison, drafting and software work. The owner directs the work and approves publication; automated checks validate data consistency and site behavior. This is not a claim of a staffed editorial office or an independent testing laboratory.

Updates are published in reviewed batches as research identifies new products, changes or corrections. A check date records a source review, not a new product release or a fresh test run. Internal revision and release records preserve the history of changes. Coverage is continually developed, but there is no guarantee that every product or price is checked daily. Reported errors are investigated against their sources.

Keep track and contribute

The public catalogs and information pages are available without registration. Optional Google sign-in lets you save models and tools, manage subscriptions, view personal notifications and choose whether to receive system email. Product discussions let signed-in visitors share experiences and replies; community comments are separate from verified catalog facts and AIpediya Rating. You can report a correction with a product URL and supporting source.

Access and language coverage

The interface supports multiple languages, mobile layouts and light and dark themes. English and Russian are the authored source languages; other languages use the existing translation process. Translation coverage varies. Missing text is shown in English, and incomplete primary translations are excluded from indexing under the site's readiness rules. A language option does not mean every record has been fully translated.

Independence and commercial links

Facts, analytical estimates, community opinions and commercial placements serve different purposes. Affiliate links and commercial placements are identified where shown; a qualifying purchase may earn AIpediya a commission. Commercial links do not enter the rating formula. A listing is not an endorsement, and provider terms, availability and prices should be checked before a purchase.

What this reference can and cannot tell you

AIpediya is a curated, evolving selection, not a complete inventory of AI. Some records have sparse descriptions or incomplete evidence. Confirmed, tentative and unknown information must be read with their labels; an empty value is not zero or a negative result. Use the catalog to narrow a choice, follow the sources and evaluate the final candidates on your own tasks. Contact, privacy and usage information are available through the links below.
